Over the coming months, Where We Live NYC 2025 asks New Yorkers to weigh in on two key questions:
- How do fair housing challenges like segregation, discrimination, and lack of access to thriving neighborhoods impact New Yorkers’ lives?
- How can the City confront these challenges and dismantle barriers to fair housing?
To get answers to these questions, the City will take the following steps:
Involve everyday New Yorkers at public library events, public workshops, and online
Get input from fair housing stakeholders such as advocates, service providers, and community leaders
Research how housing and opportunity have changed in recent years
Coordinate with government partners to make sure policy solutions are feasible and impactful
Identify new commitments to affirmatively further fair housing
